PET RESIN: F9

A conventional PET resin suitable for the major packaging applications on the market

F9 was developed in the 90s by the Rhône Poulenc Group at the Gauchy site to enable the packaging industry to use PET.

This resin is still produced today and is characterised by a low viscosity (IV 0.74) suitable for packaging non-gaseous liquid products such as still water.

Since then, Tergal Industries has extended the range of F9 resins by offering higher viscosities, such as an IV 0.80 or IV 0.84 resin, which can be used for packaging CSDs and for manufacturing thermoformable sheets.
